Along with the HDPE (high-density polyethylene) framesheet, two aluminum stays provide support; all can be removed to reduce pack weight. Constructed of 630-denier nylon oxford, offering high abrasion resistance with low weight; polyurethane coating for weather resistance. Curved, padded shoulder straps with sternum strap and load-lifter straps, and the precurved padded hipbelt distribute pack weight evenly. Dedicated ski slots combined with side compression straps let you strap on skis in A-frame style. Dual daisy chains and lash points give you the option to strap on bulky gear like snowshoes and crampons. Fixed suspension system offers low weight and low complexity. Floating top lid pocket lets pack hold more gear, and detaches so you can stash some essentials to bring into tent or lower pack weight on ascent. Front of pack features a shelf pocket for sliding in a snow shovel. Hydration-compatible design features reservoir pocket and two drink tube exit ports for on-the-go hydration (reservoir sold separately). Stretchy mesh ''cockpit'' pocket on waistbelt is a handy place for frequently accessed items such as lip balm or snacks; other side has a tool loop. Twin ice axe holsters feature spike sleeves that are designed to allow you to release tools without removing pack.
