High-density polyurethane (HDPE) framesheet and twin aluminum stays protect your back from bulky or pointy items and support heavy loads. Lumbar pad and breathable backpanel increases your carrying comfort. Made from lightweight, durable 600-denier polyester Kodra®, 500-denier nylon Kodra and 420-denier nylon micro ripstop. Main compartment holds a hydration reservoir and features tube ports on lid (reservoir sold separately). Removable, floating top pocket converts to a waist pack for day hikes or forays from base camp. Side and vertical compression straps secure and stabilize the load. Spindrift collar cinches down over the main compartment to seal out the weather. Sternum strap, load-lifter straps and belt stabilizers help balance the load; Scherer Cinch™ pulley-like system doubles hipbelt tightening force.
