Crank the winder in either direction; the harder you crank, the more energy you create—indicator light shows optimum winding speed. Each Freeplay Sherpa X-Ray LED flashlight is equipped with a green light that illuminates while properly positioned for charging. Fully charged, the lights will shine for 20 hours on the energy-saving setting and 3.5 hours on ultra bright. In a power failure, a bright red LED light is activated on the light center, pin-pointing the location of the unit. In the event of an extended outage, use the flashlight cranks to recharge the batteries; 30 seconds of winding provides 20 minutes of light. Magnetically latched door releases simply by pulling on the handle, giving you access to the three lights that are ready for immediate use. Mount the unit in a central location in your home, plug the AC adapter in, and you have three flashlights that are always charged and ready for use. Seven 5mm LEDs provide consistent white light. These lights are built to last—the internal gear train transmission has been tested to more than 500,000 cycles and the LEDs to 100,000 hours! Two brightness settings, energy saving and ultra bright, offer a choice between efficiency and brightness. When the power comes back on, return the flashlights to the charging station and you'll be prepared for the next time the grid goes down.
