Integrated electronic circuit board recognizes both types of batteries and automatically calibrates battery meter to read charges accordingly. Straps around the side and over the top of the head or helmet to stabilize headlamp and battery pack; remove the top strap to save weight. Unit works with alkaline batteries (included) or with rechargeable NiMH battery (battery and charger sold separately).
