Convertible compression straps carry a snowboard or snowshoes. Daisy chain and adjustable loops carry your crampons, ice tools, skis, shovels, probes and pickets. High-tenacity nylon fabric shaves weight and provides durability; colorful fabric can be seen from a distance. Hydration-compatible design accommodates a Nalgene 32 fl. oz. bottle or a reservoir up to 100 fl. oz. (sold separately) inside the main compartment. Plastic framesheet and single aluminum stay provide the load-bearing structure, giving shape to the pack and shifting the load to the hips. Roomy main compartment carries all the gear, extra clothing, food and essentials required for a day crossing snow or climbing glaciers. Side zipper and classic top opening provide fast, easy access to gear inside; stormproof zippers keep the snow and wet out.
